The project aims to create an interdisciplinary research task force on one of the most relevant social issues: migratory flows and inclusive practices in Europe and Italy. Faced with this social challenge, which requires immediate responses, the Department intends to strengthen the interconnections between excellent scientific-disciplinary sectors in research, teaching and international collaborations with an immediate socio-economic impact through existing services and the creation of new services consultancy on the psychosocial implications connected to migratory phenomena.
This project aims to achieve three main objectives:
establishment of a university research center "Research Center on Migration, Diversity and Inclusive Strategies" (MDIS). The objective is to further strengthen the DPPSS in its excellence in order to be able to develop new research projects, including in interdisciplinary partnership with other research bodies on the main issues affecting a topic of great importance such as immigration;
strengthening the PhD in Social, Developmental Psychology and Educational Research with the creation of a new path called "Migration studies: psychological, social and educational issues";
creation of projects, communications and events aimed at orienting policy makers on issues relating to migrant inclusion practices.
