TITLE
Rethinking Psychological Intervention in a Low-Threshold Center for Unaccompanied Foreign Minors: Stories from a Group and Individual Experience
Marilena Fatigante, Francesca Alby, Alessandro Cardinale
This paper reports and thoughtfully discusses the experience of psychological intervention with unaccompanied foreign minors during a two-year collaboration between the Department of Developmental and Socialization Psychology and "Civico Zero," a low-threshold reception center for foreign minors experiencing social vulnerability. Professors Francesca Alby, Marilena Fatigante, teachers of Social Psychology and psychotherapists, and Alessandro Cardinale, student of the School of Specialization in Life Cycle Psychology, report the experience of the psychodrama group proposed to minors hosted by the Center as a useful device to identify the plurality of forms of request for psychological listening by minors with migration histories, in comparison with the norms and expectations usually envisaged by individual intervention settings.
