On the occasion of World Autism Awareness Day - which falls every year on April 2 - on Saturday, 29, and Sunday, March 30, from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm, the podcast Like when outside is inside will be broadcast during the Tre Soldi broadcast on Rai Radio 3.
The podcast was created by 12 autistic people and 1 non-autistic person and is part of the Terza missione Sapienza project entitled Ascoltare la comunità autistica (Listening to the Autistic Community), carried out by the Faculty of Medicine and Psychology, directed by Salvatore Maria Aglioti and coordinated by Ilaria Minio Paluello (ISTC-CNR).
Four autistic characters, very different from each other, meet in a podcasting laboratory and decide to tell their experiences in the hope of helping to raise awareness on the topic. A work of fiction created by twelve autistic people that offers a representation of a small part of that universe of possible combinations that characterize those who belong to the autistic spectrum. A story that tries to arouse curiosity even for those who are not autistic, breaking down some prejudices and inviting people to delve deeper into the spectrum.
For the broadcast, a collective listening session and a meeting with the authors were organized on Saturday, March 29, from 12 to 2:30 pm, at Santa Libbirata - La Carretteria, in via Galeazzo Alessi 96, Rome.
