As part of the many initiatives open to the public that Sapienza organizes around International Women's Day, established by the United Nations in 1977, the Associations of the Viterbo community will host the exhibition "Never again slaves but free in the heart", created as part of the Third Mission Sapienza project entitled "Women victims of trafficking and refugees: how to promote well-being and social inclusion", of which Prof. Ankica Kosic is the scientific director. The exhibition consists of nine illustrative panels (designed by the working group coordinated by Prof. Ankica Kosic and which also includes Dr. Elena Bocci and Dr. Paola Passafaro) that describe the phenomenon of young women victims of trafficking; through interviews with some of them conducted in Italy, their desires, dreams, hopes and life models emerged, giving space to resilience from within the phenomenon and with the support of reception facilities. The exhibition will be hosted as part of the following initiatives:
March 17, 2025: “Writers Tell Their Stories” (Lazio Innova venues, Viterbo)
April 3, 2025: “The Jubilee Tent. Together for an Experience of Humanity” (Complex of the Church of San Faustino and Giovita, Viterbo)
May 25, 2025: “Volunteering Festival. Viterbo, a City in Color” (Lazio Innova venues, Viterbo).
The person responsible for the initiative is Dr. Elena Bocci.
